Heavy Hitter 85SX Drop Crown

If you looking for the perfect suspension tire combo, you must be running a 21" wheel on ktm 85SX forks.  But to achieve this result, spacing on the KTM forks must be correct and to achieve this often requires a drop crown to be safely executed.

On full bottom out, the tire can rub the bottom triple clamp/fender, or potentially a controller when paired with 21" tires, the only way to correct this is to ensure atleast 10.5 inches of clearance from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender. This requires a drop crown, to ensure correct stem spacing can be met, without additional safety issues including excess stem protruding from the top of the triple clamp. 

We have designed a full billet 7075 aluminum top triple clamp for the KTM forks that will allow you to adjust the fork in the triple tree to achieve proper clearance and dial in your rake angle to your preference. Suspension is key for going fast and achieving that balance is one of the most important steps. 

To Build your own 21" wheel for 2012 and up KTM 85SX hubs you will need to purchase the following: Excel 21 Inch 32 Hole Pro Series Rim, and Moose Racing KTM Spoke set
